A food packing room is where finished product is portioned, packed, sealed, labelled and boxed before despatch or storage. Bakeries, ready meal producers, confectioners, snack makers and contract packers rely on these rooms running smoothly, because a slow or cluttered packing line holds back everything upstream.
Spaceguard designs packing benches for food packing rooms as complete working areas rather than single tables. We look at how product arrives, how many operators work at each bench, where packaging is stored and how packed goods leave the room. Many food rooms combine benches with conveyors. Product can be fed along a central belt with operators packing either side, or finished cases can be taken away on packing conveyors to the palletising area. Because rooms differ so much in size and shape, we make every bench to order rather than relying on stock sizes. That means a run of benches can follow a wall exactly, fit between existing equipment or leave the right gap for a pallet truck to pass.
Stainless steel worktops are the usual choice where open food is handled, as they wipe down quickly between runs. A full stainless steel workbench is available where the frame itself also needs to be stainless.
Benches can be set out in straight lines, U shapes or cells around a conveyor. Our free CAD layout plans show how benches, walkways and equipment will fit before anything is made, which helps when the room has drains, columns or doors to work around.
LED light rails above the worktop make it easier to check seals, labels and date codes. Andon signal lights can be fitted so operators can call for more packaging or flag a problem without leaving the line.
Castors let you move benches away from walls for deep cleans and reconfigure the room for different products. Lower shelves can be left off to keep the floor beneath clear.
Frames are fully welded steel, powder coated in blue RAL 5010 as standard or any RAL colour, including colours that help zone different areas of the room. Standard packing benches carry a 300kg UDL, with heavy duty frames available for heavier equipment.

Our trusted delivery partners collect from our factory and deliver directly to you, with dates confirmed by phone or email. Depending on the order you may need a tail lift or forklift for unloading. You can also collect from our factory if you prefer.
