Commercial workbenches are the everyday work surfaces of trade counters, service departments, maintenance rooms, studios and small production units. They are not usually asked to carry a gearbox or a press, but they are used all day, by different people, for a mix of tasks, and they need to look tidy in areas customers or visitors may see.
Spaceguard builds commercial benches on the same fully welded steel frames that go into our factory benches, so they stay rigid and quiet for years rather than working loose like bolted kits. If your work does involve heavier components, our heavy duty workbenches are rated at 1000kg UDL, with extra heavy duty frames available up to 5000kg. For most commercial settings, though, the real decisions are about size, worktop, storage and how the bench fits the room.
That is where building to order helps. We can match a bench to an awkward alcove, run a long bench along a wall, or create a set of identical stations for a team. You can choose from our full range of workbench worktops and add storage and power from our options and accessories. Small businesses are very welcome and there is no minimum order.
Many of our commercial customers start with one or two benches and add more as the business grows. Later benches can be made to match the originals in size, worktop and frame colour, so a room built up over several years still looks like a single, planned fit-out. If you are unsure what you need, send us a photo or sketch with dimensions and we will suggest a layout and quote from it.
Standard lengths are 1200, 1500, 1800 and 2000mm, with widths of 600, 750 and 900mm. Any bespoke size can be made, and we can produce CAD layout plans so you can see how several benches fit together with doors, windows and walkways.
Melamine and laminate give a clean, professional finish that is easy to keep presentable. MDF and plywood are economical and easy to replace, while block beech brings a traditional look and stands up to knocks. Stainless steel suits areas where hygiene matters.
Drawers keep small tools and paperwork secure, cupboards hide away stock and consumables, and lower shelves take boxes off the floor. Pegboards, louvre panels and tool rails put frequently used items at eye level.
Frames are powder coated in blue RAL 5010 as standard, or in any RAL colour on request, so benches can match your branding or the rest of your fit-out. LED light rails and sockets complete a bench that looks good and is ready to use on arrival.

Our trusted delivery partners collect from our factory and deliver directly to you, with dates confirmed by phone or email. Depending on the order you may need a tail lift or forklift for unloading. You can also collect from our factory if you prefer.
