Behind every shop floor is a stockroom that does far more than store goods. Deliveries are checked in, items are tagged and priced, click and collect orders are packed, returns are processed and online orders shipped from store. Space is usually tight, so the bench has to work hard in a small footprint.
Spaceguard builds back of store packing benches to order in our Hull factory, with fully welded steel frames that arrive assembled. They are part of our retail and wholesale packing bench range. Retailers with a seasonal peak may also want to look at our benches for promotional and seasonal re-pack operations.
Because every bench is made to order, we can build to the exact space you have, whether that is an alcove between racking or a narrow corridor behind the tills. A compact 1200mm by 600mm bench fits most stockrooms, and mobile packing tables on castors can be wheeled aside when deliveries arrive.
Many retailers roll out the same bench across several stores. Because we manufacture to order, we can build a standard specification that fits your typical stockroom and adapt individual benches where a site has an unusual space. Each bench is delivered free to the UK mainland, fully assembled.
Stockroom benches also take more knocks than most. Deliveries are dropped onto them, cages are pushed past them and they are often used as a temporary shelf when space runs out. A fully welded steel frame stands up to that treatment far better than a bolted together table.
An upper shelf above the worktop takes labels, tagging guns and carrier bags off the work surface. A lower shelf stores flat-packed boxes and mailing bags, so everything for a click and collect or ship from store order is in one place.
Stockroom tasks change through the day. Castors let you move the bench, and a hard wearing laminate or melamine worktop copes with deliveries, pricing and packing alike.
Pegboards and tool rails hold scissors, tape guns and price guns. Drawers give a home for small valuables or paperwork, and a roll holder with a cutter handles wrapping paper or bubble wrap.
Electrical and data sockets fitted to the frame power label printers, scanners and handheld chargers, and a printer shelf keeps the printer off the worktop.
Returns need a clear area for inspection and repacking. A divider unit separates items waiting to be checked from those ready to go back on sale or back to the supplier, and an LED light rail helps staff spot damage or missing tags.

Our trusted delivery partners collect from our factory and deliver directly to you, with dates confirmed by phone or email. Depending on the order you may need a tail lift or forklift for unloading. You can also collect from our factory if you prefer.
